Ships in December, seven inch vinyl.
1389 is the only black metal
musician in the world who is as misunderstood as the Winter Solace
Productions label and who's activity has been synonymous with this label
since 2013. The music of Vožd Jovan Pogani has always been
the continuation of a Slavic style of RAW BLACK METAL that is an almost
non-existent find among the modern scene of lowfi/vampire/Instagram type
of activity, holding more closer the roots of the style as was created
by Ildjarn, Darkthone, Warloghe, Moonblood, Evil, Hate Forest, Inferno,
& Maniac Butcher. 1389 is also responsible in influence
to/affiliated with: Tank Genocide, Lord Foul, Assassinato, Granatus,
GBNS, Forgotten Soul, Niedfyr, ZK, Battle Kommand and several other
people who've been released by Winter Solace through the years with a
variety of different imagery associated with the bands.
The great tragedy is that the music of the 1389 has always been judged
by the one off “Windhorst” album and much of the songs composed by the
band were used on splits with other explicit NS acts, obstructing the
image of this band, painting as something it wasn't meant to be. Albums
like Zima & Povratak more accurately represent the band, but are
usually overlooked in favor of the numerous online split releases &
tapes with explicit artwork. Thankfully, many of these sessions can be
reproduced as seven inch vinyls, which rather then limited cassette
seems to be the more fitting form for this music to be consumed on. The
tracks on this seven inch were originally recorded specifically for
vinyl in 2016, but were instead left to rot on the split cassette with
GBNS. With new artwork more fitting to the music, this rehearsal session
will live again.
This seven inch is limited to a one time pressing of 100 copies and will be the only 1389 vinyl release.
